In January, 2005, a friend phoned to ask if I’d participate in a benefit to be held the following month to aid victims of the tsunami that ravaged Thailand the day after Christmas. I immediately agreed, and set about writing a hymn that sounded as if it had been around for years.
For the performance, I thought it would be more effective if it was sung as a duet (Rodel San Miguel joined me.) Jonathan Kropf came through with the perfect accompaniment, which is on the sheet music. For this recording, Jordan Klapman offers a moving arrangement.
